Course Description

Vocabulary Detectives is an interactive course for students in grade 2-4 that helps them understand and use new words with confidence. Through word games, short reading passages, discussions, and writing activities, students practice using their context clues, synonyms, antonyms, prefixes, and suffixes to determine word meaning. Aligned with Common Core Vocabulary standards, this 9 session course introduces 24-30 core vocabulary words to strengthen comprehension and communication. Supply List for Students: pencil, notebook or blank paper. Vocabulary list, reading passages, and activity passages will be provided.
