Course Description

Hello there! Please join me as we go on an adventure through Middle Earth with Frodo Baggins and the Fellowship of the Ring. Students in 5th-8th grade will read through Book 1 of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. There will be no required homework for this class. I simply read the story aloud and change my voice to try and suit the character so as to be entertaining. I have enjoyed success with The Hobbit for the last two years and thought it was time to move on the The Fellowship of the Ring. This is a wonderful piece of literature and the course allows students to get to know one another on their terms as they chat about things we've read - also not required.
