Course Description

Sight words and story time - A fun and engaging way to learn and review sight words and enjoy a great read aloud story. Each week we will learn/review 3-4 sight words and read 1-2 stories. We will review sight words learned each week and after each story we will discuss literary elements such as characters, setting, plot, etc. We will also work on writing sentences about the story. Stories that will be featured during the 10 weeks: Ferdinand, Stone Soup, Too Many Tamales, The Empty Pot, Caps for Sale, Strega Nona, The Wild Swans, Little Mangy One, The Wonderful Tea Kettle, Freckle Juice.
