Course Description

Reader’s Theater provides students with an authentic experience of collaboratively reading a text aloud with several of their peers. This session will focus on fairy tales, fables and favorite stories. Students will be given the opportunity to practice fluency and reading with expression while building confidence. Each student will be given a role in advance to practice. Each class will be devoted to script reading, analyzing tone and delivery, and listening respectfully to one's fellow actors while it is their turn. We also complete comprehension, vocabulary and art projects related to each week's story.
