Course Description

We will use songs and games to learn and practice short vowel sounds and sight words.. Students should recognize the letters of the alphabet and know the sounds most of the consonants make. The goal of the course is for each learner to have lists of short vowel (CVC) words he or she can read independently at the conclusion of the course. Students will be able to say the short vowel sound for the five vowels and know when to use the short vowel sound.
