Course Description

What the Class Is: In this virtual geography adventure, students will “travel” to a new country each class while discovering its location, landmarks, traditions, foods, animals, and culture. We will be traveling to Mexico, France, Kenya, Japan, and Australia. How Students Will Participate: Students will use a printable passport, explore maps and pictures, learn words from different languages, play interactive games, answer polls, complete drawing and scavenger hunt challenges, and earn a new passport stamp at each destination. Outcome/Benefit: Students will build beginning geography and map skills, develop an appreciation for cultures around the world, and grow their curiosity about our big, exciting world. Supply List for Students: Printed class passport and activity pages (provided by instructor) Pencil Crayons, markers, or colored pencils Scissors and glue stick for occasional activities Optional: small bag or backpack for our virtual travel adventures
