Course Description

Do you love art? Let's learn about five famous artists and recreate a famous art work! We will learn about a different artist each week. We will use different art elements and media that each artist created with and practice using their techniques. Our five artists will be Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Piet Mondrian, Grant Wood, and Henri Matisse Supply List for Students: Monet- white construction paper, crayons, water colors, paint brush, pencil Picasso- blank paper, crayons/markers, black sharpie, pencil Mondrian- 6- 3x3 squares of red, blue, yellow, 1- 12x12 white construction paper, 8 -1/4" x 12" strips of black construction paper, glue, scissors Wood- blank paper, crayons/markers, black sharpie, pencil Matisse- scissors, glue, pencil, 1- 9x12- any bright color (except for green), 9x6- bright green (for sea weed), 2 or 3 4x6- assortment of bright colors (yellow, orange, red, violet, pink, etc)
