Course Description

Good writers follow certain steps in order to write effectively. In this 8-day writer’s workshop, students in grades 2nd through 3rd will learn the steps of the writing process and how to organize and write a paragraph with a topic sentence, 3 supporting details, a closing sentence, and transitions. We will begin by walking through each step of the writing process together and writing paragraphs as a class. Then your students will have the opportunity to use the skills they have learned to write their own paragraphs. We will end by sharing our best work with each other. This is a great opportunity to begin the year reviewing this important skill which is essential before diving into essay writing! Class Opens for Booking on 09/19/2023 at 9:00am.
