Course Description

Looking for a fun and engaging writing class? In the first half of this course, students will first learn how to write a friendly letter and then use their new skills to write a letter to Santa. During the second part of the class, students will enjoy a creative writing craft where they’ll write a persuasive letter explaining why they should be hired as one of Santa’s elves. Does the thought of writing get you down? Do you struggle with getting your thoughts organized? In this class, your student will learn the concept of a paragraph, identify parts of the paragraph, learn how to write a solid topic sentence, details, and a conclusion, and write a full paragraph. While this is typically a second-grade and third-grade standard, this course is geared to help struggling writers up to the 5th grade.
