Course Description

This class is a hands-on cooking class where students will learn by doing! Each week, our lesson will take us from preparation through the completion of an entire recipe using easy to find ingredients and minimal kitchen equipment. Families should purchase supplies ahead of time, and students should be prepared to cook at the beginning of each class. We will review kitchen and food safety for each meeting and discuss ingredients, equipment/tools, and possible recipe alternatives. **This class is booked by session. Students are not required to take every session but do need to sign up for each class session separately.** The goal of this course is to provide students with the opportunity to learn new skills, try new recipes, and build self-confidence in the kitchen through the preparation and sharing of delicious food. Students who love to cook can meet others who share a love of cooking and be part of a supportive community of learners.
