From savory to sweet, learn how to make a variety of breakfast foods completely from scratch.
Course Description
This class is a hands-on cooking class where students will learn by doing! Each week, our lesson will take us from preparation through the completion of an entire recipe using easy to find ingredients and minimal kitchen equipment. Families should purchase supplies ahead of time, and students should be prepared to cook at the beginning of each class. We will review kitchen and food safety for each meeting and discuss ingredients, equipment/tools, and possible recipe alternatives. I will demonstrate each step of the cooking process, ask and answer questions, and check in with students at each step. "**This class is booked by session. Please book each session separately. Students are not required to take every session.** Session 1: Buttermilk Oatmeal Pancakes Thursday, November 20th; 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Join in to make a batch of these filling and delicious pancakes served with homemade syrup and made from scratch sausage. Session 2: Breakfast Skillet Thursday, December 4th; 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Nothing beats a hearty and delicious breakfast skilled loaded wth potatoes that are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and seasoned to perfection with a variety of add-ins. Session 3: Breakfast Crepes Thursday, December 11th; 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Learn how to make crepes, thin and delicate French style pancakes, with your choice of sweet or savory fillings. Session 4: Breakfast Pizza Thursday, December 18th; 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Who can resist breakfast pizza - a homemade crust topped with peppered gravy, soft scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheese (and veggies if you like)!
