Course Description

This "Read-Aloud" class will offer a space for students to listen to a great piece of fictional writing. This class is meant to help skeptical readers fall in love with reading, and give avid readers a chance to remember why they love reading. Class discussions will be very "organic", based on student input. Review of Scythe: "Pretty much a perfect teen adventure novel. In a conflict-free world where humans have conquered death, elected Scythes must cull the human population. Two teens find themselves volunteered as apprentice-Scythes, and discover that of all the things that Scythes can kill, corruption is not one of them."
